Last month, ICAAN approved the proposal to use non-Latin scripts, which is expected to transform the Internet landscape. Currently, Internet addresses are limited to Latin characters from ‘A' to ‘Z'.
India will be ready to have internationalized domain names (IDN) on the internet in Indian languages from June next year.
