Web-telephony to be introduced in India

Internet service providers have moved the anti-monopoly body Competition Commission of India (CCI) against the Department of Telecommunication (DoT) for not allowing web-based telephony service in the country. Last year, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) had recommended the use of unrestricted internet telephony in India, but the DoT is yet to give a go ahead.
